I just got back from a quick lil’ weekend getaway to LA for a friend’s wedding, so I thought it would be fun to give you a glimpse inside my camera roll and do a photo diary for this week’s newsletter.
Enjoy!

In-N-Out is always a non-negotiable for me on any trip to California. My go-to order is always a Double-Double Animal Style, Animal Style fries, and a chocolate shake.

The view from my hotel SERVED for these sunset pics.

Of course, can’t forget the fit check. From left to right: rehearsal at the church, rehearsal dinner, and then my wedding look (I was a bridesmaid in the wedding).

The bride and her family rented this GORGEOUS house for the weekend, and all I could think of was, "A hot new bombshell just entered the villa.”

The wedding was at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral in LA. It’s a huge church and is where all the Greek/Orthodox celebrities go (think Nia Vardalos, John Stamos, Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, etc.). The inside is stunning and is done in a Neo-Byzantine art style.

Couldn’t leave Southern California without getting some Mexican food. I grabbed these birria tacos from a top-rated food truck near my hotel, and they didn’t disappoint.

We had a full day before we flew out, so we decided to hit up a few highly-recommended Greek food spots. The first was Louks for loukoumades (Greek donuts). While traditional loukoumades are flavored with honey, cinnamon, and walnuts, Louks takes a modern twist on them. We got their Dulce de Leche, Churro Doodle, Funky Monkey, and Cookie Butter ones to try, along with some Greek coffee and freddo cappuccinos (basically an iced cappuccino). My favorite ones were the Cookie Butter - Biscoff filling with white chocolate and cinnamon sugar. 10/10 no notes.

We saw that they had a sister store, Pita GR, so we headed there for lunch. It serves a lot of Greek street food (pita, souvlaki, etc.). I got a “street style” pork souvlaki gyro as a salad with mustard aioli on the side (if you’ve been to Greece, you know this is a thing). Some of the best souvlaki I’ve had since being in Greece!

And of course, we have to end with the obligatory over-wing pic as we flew out.
Til next time, LA!
